Murals have an amazing ability to transform an environment.
Environments impact our mood, our behavior & motivation to act, can facilitate or discourage interactions with people and can also create or reduce stress. Just as light colors open up a space and feel relaxing, dark colors tend to make a room feel smaller. The effects can be slightly different for all of us. There is a shade of very light pink, for instance, dubbed as "passive pink" because of its ability to calm rage in people, especially children.
What I enjoy most is improving the "vibe" of a space. With over ten years of experience in painting murals, I've gotten to play with color, light & imagery to make everyone within the space feel better than they did before entering.
Most of my murals are designed by myself, however I also enjoy recreating images & beloved characters already in existence. Check out this "Where the Wild Things Are" themed nursery! Shout out and respectful tribute to Maurice Sendak, a beautiful illustrator/author.
